Born and raised in West Michigan, I was introduced to craftmanship, woodworking, and construction at a very young age.  In my early years, my Grandfather spent time teaching me the fundamentals of woodworking in his shop building bird feeders and small crafty projects. In my teen years, I was exposed to remodeling and construction as my family worked to completely gut and remodel our 200-year-old farmhouse. When I graduated high school, I went immediately to work with my oldest brother, a master craftsman, who taught me everything from rough construction to custom home-building, fine finish carpentry to cabinetry building, decks, exterior projects and more.

I have always had a passion for all things creative, and my skill in woodworking has always come naturally. Although my career has taken me through many aspects of business, I have always been a craftsman.

In 2015 I started my own business specializing in branding, website design, and coaching for small business owners. (You can view more about that business here.) I have had great success in that venture and continue to operate that business today. When Covid struck the world in 2020 and my business volume slowed down, I began building some new furniture pieces for my own home. I started with some custom built-ins in different areas of our home.  Then I built a spectacular square dining table set for our dining room.  Then I build a new king platform bed for my wife and I's master bedroom.

Quickly recognizing the marketability of my skills and products, I began listing my furniture pieces on Facebook marketplace to attract custom orders. Since then my craft has become a very business second business and I am loving every second of it. 

​

My most highly-requested pieces are my custom bedroom furniture which I build in a variety of styles, layouts and finishes. I also build custom farmhouse tables, custom built-in bedrooms, epoxy river tables, hall trees, entertainment centers, and much more!

My lead times vary depending on the season but I am usually right around the 8-9 week timeframe from order date to project completion. I do offer delivery for a fee depending on your home location. I have made furniture deliveries as far as Florida, so I am certainly not limited to only building custom furniture in West Michigan.
